Excellent little rarity on Newcastle-based alt.vinyl, who have put a few of these square cut singles out recently. I know little about Sticky, aside from that he was also in the A Band with Neil, and has guested on a Vibracathedral release. A discography is here at Discogs, but I cannot vouch for its completeness.
And I really wasn't sure which side was positive, and which side was negative, from the labels alone.
Handily the side I put on first has the MC on it, so must have been the live at RRRecords track, although it is a very good impression, sonically, of the title of the first track on the second side, being a vocalized moan put through various effects, with some guitar noises. It goes on for about 6 minutes, and is quite good, but the sound quality is not. It's like you're listening to it on long wave on top of a windy hill. This may well be deliberate.
After those six minutes there is a sudden change to, I guess, the second track peristaticz, which is the similar to the first track, but half the speed and swampy. There is a high-pithed and sudden end. There's no decent run-out pressed into these singles though, so after the side finishes, you get some terrible noise as the needle jumps on to the label.
Anyway, the flip side starts with beats and cheap keyboard flutter, which gets altered and messed with pretty quickly. The drum machine doesn't last long, and voice and synths continue for the duration. Similar to some of Neil's solo Astral Social Club releases, and good fun.
