This is like finding a shop that only sells raspberry jam. The owner makes the jam himself. It's good raspberry jam, but it's still just one fruit flavour.
And you say to the owner, "Have you thought of making other types of jam?"
And he says, "But surely everyone likes raspberry jam?"
And you say, "Well, to say everyone is maybe going a little far, but you could certainly claim that most people like raspberry jam. Some people don't like it when the seeds get stuck in their teeth."
And the owner says, "But this is the jam I make. I like this jam. My friends like this jam. A number of assistants have, over the course of many years, helped me in my singular vision to make this jam. I think, in fact I know, that this year's is the best raspberry jam ever."
And you say, "Some raspberry jams are very popular, that's true, with sell-out tours of big venues and so forth. But then those raspberry jams were the originals, your jam, though good, is really just copying their recipe, isn't it?"
And the owner says, "I make the best raspberry jam, please leave my shop."
And you say, "Do you know where I might get some marmalade?"
