There is a much better, although more effusive, review of this record on Julian Cope's Head Heritage site, than I could write.
Which is a bit of a cop-out, I know. So I will tell you, briefly, what I think of this record.
It's a chaotic, formless mess. I'm sure this is the point, and I have other music that is chaotic and formless which I like, but I just failed to engage with this. It sounds like the band working out song ideas. In fact, it sounds more like the singer found some tapes of the rest of the band jamming, and thought "Hmmm... ". And then got no further than Hmmm, excepting maybe an "Aaaah" or "Ooooh" or two, and reading out a bit of poetry in a very strained voice.
It's a bit like Carla Bozulich, only worse.
