I said as much as I'm going to about the band themselves in this post, and having not really liked their first single much it might seem surprising that I bought their second. Allow me to explain. The remix on the B-side is by the Third Eye Foundation, who, before doing his more mournful and sombre acoustic-based work of recent years, made a great clattery racket in various styles, and produced some great albums from much under-rated Wetherby-based band Hood. I can highly recommend the recent Collected Works as an introduction to the great man, or the Ghosts album, if you don't want to go as far as buying a 3CD set.
Sadly though, this remix, or reconstruction as he would prefer you to call it, fails to deliver the goods. All the remix seem to consist of is 3 or 4 drum loops taken from the original song, a small number of keyboard sounds, and some pitch-shifted vocals bunged on at the very very end.
The A-side is much like the other songs I own by this band, except a bit punkier, which means a bit worse in my book.
